About

This Winter come and enjoy some outdoor fun and learning on Hounslow Heath.

Nature Neighbours is an outdoor playgroup for children aged four and under and their grown ups.  Our aim is to provide an opportunity for families to make new friends and enjoy new experiences together.

Each week our Leaders will prepare outdoor play activities for you and your child to enjoy at our specially agreed site.  Although we introuce a theme each week our supportive team always encourage children to follow their own ideas and interests.

Sessions are run by Heidi and Grace who are: qualified teachers, Forest School Leaders and 1st aiders.  You and your children will be in expert hands for our morning together.

Who is welcome?

We have space for a miximum of families every week and we welcome all children under five.  They will need to be supervised by you at all times.  For this reason, we do not suggest you bring any more than a total of two children and a baby per adult.

Our half term session on Wednesday 17th February is open to school aged brothers and sisters.

Cost

£1 per family payable on arrival.

What should we wear?

There’s no such thing as bad weather, just bad clothes! We go outside whatever the weather and the best way to prepare for your adventure is by dressing yourself and your child appropriately.

You will need:

  • Warm trousers and a warm jacket
  • Waterproof tops and bottoms in case of rain - We are able to provide waterproof trousers for children.  Please make sure you both have waterproof coats.
  • Boots or wellies - We like to jump in puddles and explore mud so make sure you and your child can do that safely in your footwear.
  • Long sleeved layer, vest and a fleece - Lots of layers help to keep bodies warm.  If it is raining you might want an extra layer and a hat too.
  • Warm socks

Who has funded this project?

This project is possible thanks to funding from the Near Neighbours Grant.
